This complete kit includes precision-cut flanges, 304 stainless steel or mild steel mandrel bends, collectors, O2 bungs, and welding accessories—everything you need to fabricate a race-quality exhaust system in-house.

Installation

Installation & Notes

This is a fabrication kit and requires cutting, mock-up, and TIG or MIG welding to assemble. Follow these steps for best results:

  1. Mock up the header flanges on your AMC V8 heads and verify port alignment.
  2. Plan primary tube routing around steering, frame rails, and engine mounts.
  3. Cut and fit J-bends as needed, maintaining smooth radii for maximum flow.
  4. Back-purge during welding using included purge caps for strong, clean welds.
  5. Install O₂ bungs before final welding to allow for proper sensor placement.
  6. Check collector exit alignment and exhaust system clearance before final assembly.

Pro Tip: For best results, finish your headers with ceramic coating or thermal wrap to reduce engine bay heat and improve longevity.
